The recipe for success at Barbara Hickl Communications is dialogue. In our boutique agency, communication takes centre stage every day. We attach great importance to an open dialogue with our clients in order to understand their precise needs and goals. This we believe, is the best way to develop customised strategies that are truly effective. It is important to us not only to listen, but also to actively provide feedback and develop solutions together. A strong desire to change perspectives and an enthusiasm for the themes is something that Barbara shares with her team.
After 13 years of successful collaboration with Nicole Vesting at hicklvesting PR, I have my own agency since January 2024. Barbara Hickl Communications specialises in tailor-made communication for the architecture and design industry. With a deep understanding of the needs and challenges of the industry, we create publicity for innovative spatial concepts, planning strategies, international architecture, manufacturing know-how and development expertise.
Our clients are not just the players in the industry but also their respective target groups: manufacturers, designers, interior designers, planners and architects, retailers, and associations. By constantly changing perspective, we gain valuable insights and immediately recognise the potential of relevant information. Through agile dialogue, we strengthen relationships, open doors, and increase the relevance of the topics.
Our passion for the creative power of design and creative disciplines and their social relevance plays a major role and motivation for our team. We are active throughout Germany as well as internationally.

My passion for building networks with inspiring brands, engaging in dialogue with leading figures in the industry, and initiating creative synergies drives me every day. As a graduate interior designer, I have a strong preference for establishing interdisciplinary connections, both in content and personally.
In my career spanning over two decades, I have gathered diverse experiences in various areas of the communications industry. My expertise includes the effective design and implementation of communication strategies that bridge design, functionality, and commercial interests. With my deep understanding of both the creative and business sides of the architecture and design industry, I am able to foster sustainable and productive partnerships.
After 13 years of experience as a co-founder of hicklvesting PR, I took the next step in January 2024 and established Barbara Hickl. COMMUNICATIONS, an agency specialising in the architecture and design industry.

I am a freelance brand strategist and Senior-level PR & Communications consultant with a keen interest in cultural trends and a profound knowledge of the luxury lifestyle industry – spanning interior design, hospitality, fashion, and beauty. With 12 years of experience, I have honed my ability to craft compelling stories and build valuable partnerships and engaged communities that help brands achieve their unique goals.
Drawing from my deep expertise and wide-ranging professional network of creatives, key opinion leaders and media representatives, I deliver impactful, multi-faceted campaigns and inspiring experiences that help brands spread their unique vision across the German-speaking market and beyond.
At Barbara Hickl. COMMUNICATIONS, I develop and realise comprehensive PR strategies and effective brand activation measures to build reputation and brand awareness and support the long-term growth of our clients.
Helen Hickl
At Barbara Hickl. COMMUNICATIONS, I develop visual communication concepts that give brands a clear and thoughtfully crafted visual language.
Born in Hamburg in 1997 and raised in Berlin, I discovered my passion for design and visual expression early on. During an internship at Lissoni Associati in Milan, I deepened my skills in architectural and product photography – experiences that continue to shape my work today. After earning my Bachelor of Arts in Photography from the Folkwang University of the Arts in 2023, accompanied by exhibitions at the Kunstmuseum Ahlen and the Folkwang Rundgänge, I have been expanding my artistic focus through a ceramics program at the Burg Giebichenstein University of Art and Design in Halle since 2024.
I consciously operate at the intersection of art, design, and craftsmanship – a space where my creative curiosity is constantly renewed.
